demystifying hypnotherapy

Many people have vivid thoughts when imagining about being in hypnosis, and it's likely to range from barking like a dog onstage against your will to imagining being overtaken by demonic beings.

that's not what we do here.

Wild Raven hypnotherapy is simple.

A form of deep meditation, it's an opportunity to rest, relax, and deeply meditate, allowing your subconscious thoughts and emotions come a bit closer to the surface.

In a guided trauma-informed hypnotherapy session, you are ALWAYS in control of your own mind and body.

Depending on your goals for the session, the way I deliver it may look a little different, but we're giving ourselves the capacity to remember things that we often don't have easy recall of.

We're resting deeply enough that our mind can conjure past emotion, energy, trauma, and pain.

In a safe environment, we can look at the experience with new eyes, helping our nervous system to process and re-pattern harmful thinking and behavior.

Our minds have incredible capacity to heal itself when they have something healthy to work with.

but what about meditation?

Hypnotherapy is a form of meditation, but it goes deeper than normal, allowing our subconscious mind to be closer and more malleable.

Typical meditation can be life-altering as it allows for body stillness, deep listening to what is coming up, and the capacity to learn to quiet the mind.

Meditation can be done alone, or in groups, and can be guided with intention, or simply allow the flow of thoughts to be witnessed and learned from.

Either way is powerful, and the more often you sit in meditation, the more likely you are to find threads that can help you make sense of your life, your story, and your next best steps.
